Has anyone else seeing faster speeds for Comcast Houston? I just did a few
speed tests at: http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

It showed:

Download speed: 7400 kbps
Upload speed: 1000 kbps

Previoys typical speeds:

Download speed: 5900 kbps
Upload speed: 360 kbps

I am in near-northwest Houston.

Also, are there speed tests better than the above that are not as affected
by speed-boost stuff?

You do know that you cant use all that speed cause Comcast has secret
caps on amount you can download?

My speeds have been about the same, but been reading some blurbs about
their customer service and stuff... plus I know ComCast is cleaning
house over in their Houston office.. I know of 3 people who were fired
for bs on their HR record (unprofessionalisms). They were not laid off
so they can collect un-employment, but rather fired for "code of
conduct violations" which denied them the unemployemet.

Makes sense that CC is cleaning house, they have been in charge now
for 1 year... which means all the old TW people have had 1 full year
to show their worth, which in my friend's case did no good.. on one of
them his record showed the unprofessionalism was 3 years old and he
said he was a good tech.

I am thinking that CC is going to purge over there and start fresh.

Download Speed: 31080 kbps (3885 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 2606 kbps (325.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
